Technical Specialist I/II/III (Mechanical Integrity)

As a Technical Specialist III, you will ensure system integrity while maintaining compliance, the safety of facility equipment and overall pipeline operations.

Responsibilities / Expectations :

  • Performs moderately sophisticated technical assignments that ensure system integrity, compliance, facility equipment maintenance, and pipeline operations support
  • Participates in project planning and collaborates with company partners to guarantee accurate and available data
  • Reads, understands and evaluates engineering design documents, contracts and agreements
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Education / Years of Experience :

  • Required : High school diploma / GED and equivalent experience or Associates degree in engineering or a technical field and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in oil & gas industry
  • Preferred : Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field and minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty

Physical and Environment Work Requirements :

Must be willing to :

  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and / or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools

Shift / Work Hours / Travel Requirements :

  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
  • May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays

Other Requirements :

  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Exhibits excellent organizational / interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

Additional Responsibilities / Expectations :

  • Provides systems and circuit support, outage support, repairs, and capital project support
  • Defines scope of field inspections and outlines accurate field inspection techniques
  • Acquires bids for inspection and handles vendors
  • Identifies locations, equipment, and vessels for inspection based on PCMS data
  • Provides Fitness for Service assessments on equipment
