Full job Summary

Vaco is currently working with a non profit organization and they have an opening for a dynamic staff accountant. This role requires 3-5 years in general accounting.

Essential Functions :

• Prepare Financial reports
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Maintain prepaid and accrued expense schedules.
• Close Fixed Assets and Construction in Progress monthly.
• Provide backup for AP and AR processes
• Process construction draw requisitions.
• Prepare reports required under bond agreements.
• Aid in budget preparation and reporting.

Qualifications :

• BS / BA in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting / finance
• Experience in non profit or healthcare is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel
• Prior exposure to an accounting software is a must
