Corporate Responsibility, Associate Position overview
The Corporate Responsibility Team manages our firmwide corporate responsibility strategy and drives integration and reporting of strong environmental, social, andernance (ESG) practices to realize benefits and drive value creation for our employees, clients, shareholders, and themunities in which we operate.
We seek to meet stakeholder expectations and to make MSCI a corporate ESG leader. As a leading provider of ESG and Climate research, tools, and solutions, it is important that MSCI itself makes strong progress in these areas.
The Corporate Responsibility Associate will support MSCI's corporate responsibility function and will support our efforts across the firm which may include research, analysis and reporting on various sustainability topics including climate change, human rights, DE&I, and corporateernance;
project management and support on external reporting, and draftingmunications (internal and external) on key topics. The candidate will also assist in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, policies, and initiatives across the organization.
Successful candidates will be highly skilled inmunication, both verbal and written. Knowledge of and interest in corporate responsibility principles and trends will be critical in this role.
Please note this is a 7 month contract opportunity.
Salary : $40-50 / hour
Your key responsibilities
- Research and analyze corporate responsibility / sustainability trends, best practices, standards, and frameworks, and provide insights and rmendations to the team and senior management.
- Support creation of CR / sustainability reports, disclosures, andmunications, and ensure alignment with internal and external guidelines and expectations.
- Support implementation of carbon accounting software and help identify processes to verify and validate data quality and accuracy.
- Use Workiva platform to create and manage sustainability reports and disclosures, and ensurepliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
Specific knowledge and skills
- Passion for and understanding of Corporate Responsibility, ESG, and Climate issues and trends
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, and ability to work with data and metrics.
- Excellentmunication, presentation, and writing skills, and ability to conveyplex sustainability information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with sustainability reporting platforms and tools, such as Watershed and Workiva.
Desired experience
1-3 years of relevant experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related field.
Desired qualifications
Graduate degree in sustainability, environmental science, social science, business, or related field.
