Process Safety Advisor
Location : Mill Hall, PA

Overall Description : Support the implementation and maintenance of the Process Safety Management (PSM) Program, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Help ensure the Manufacturing Site conforms to all PSM standards and directives established by Group SHE. Directly support the Process Risk Review (PRR) program and manage the implementation of various hazard studies and risk assessments.
All other duties as assigned by management.
Key Duties :
Process Safety Management (90%)
Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and various other hazard studies / risk assessments
Support the completion of Process Risk Reviews (PRRs), including Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
Manage hazard study corrective action plans and may be responsible for implementing some hazard study action items
Support completion of technical assessments ( consequence analyses, reaction hazard assessments, other process risk assessments)
Provide support for other Process Safety programs, such as Change Management, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, Employee Involvement, and auditing.
Support the maintenance of all site Process Safety Management programs with necessary KPI tracking and development of new KPI’s to help with continual improvement of PSM program at the site
Help provide the necessary PSM training to operators, mechanics, and other technical positions within the facility
General Health and Safety (10%)
Enforce SHE principles and policies in the facility
Provide expertise where needed for facility SHE initiatives
Experience required : At least 3 years’ experience in a chemical process industry. At least 2 years’ experience with Process Safety Management or related experience, including experience leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and other risk assessments.
Previous experience with Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) preferred.
Education / specialized training required : BS in Chemical Engineering or other technical field. Proficient in MS Office.
Experience with PHA Pro software preferred. Experience with Consequence Modeling software preferred. Designation as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
