POSITION SUMMARY
The Flexible Packaging Sales Representative plays a key role within the sales team, focusing on driving business growth in the flexible packaging industry.
This role involves leveraging a proven track record in sales within this sector and a deep understanding of sustainable packaging materials and processes.
Responsibilities include working independently, managing client relationships effectively, and identifying new sales opportunities while providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory or market segment.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams including production, design, and customer service to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of orders.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients.
- Negotiate pricing and terms of sales agreements to achieve company profitability targets.
- Provide product demonstrations, samples, and technical support to customers as needed.
- Stay updated on new products, technologies, and developments in the flexible packaging industry.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics set by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in sales in the flexible packaging industry
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the flexible packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and industry standards.
- Ability to travel for 30%-40% of the time
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
COMPENSATION
This position's salary range is $70,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
