What You'll Do :

As a North America Logistics Procurement Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by managing all aspects of liquid bulk truck, bulk terminals and railroad transport from Lubrizol plants, toll processors and chemical bulk terminals.

What We're Looking For :

Identify cost-effective, safe, and reliable carriers for liquid bulk transport, supporting Lubrizol’s North America supply chain.

Including railroad transportation and railcar leasing, chemical bulk terminals.

  • Understand bulk chemical terminal and transloading operations and negotiations.
  • Understand Railroad transportation and pricing.
  • Experience conducting end to end transportation Bids / RFQ.
  • Responsible for creation, negotiation, and maintenance of all contracts in collaboration with legal counsel.
  • Own carrier vetting and onboarding process to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Own carrier relationship management and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.
  • Maintain dedicated capacity program for multiple facilities, including specialized-equipment contracts for niche businesses.
  • Work with Corporate Accounting and third-party freight payment company to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Collaborate with department accounting specialist to resolve end-of- month variance report regarding freight discrepancies.
  • Maintain carrier information and rates within ERP in collaboration with Transportation Master Data Group.
  • Interface with internal team members and external customer and business partners on a regular basis.
  • Take initiative on assignments and will seek out additional responsibilities.

Skills That Make a Difference :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 3+ years of procurement and / or daily operations experience with bulk truck operations.
  • 3+ years bulk truck procurement experience.
  • Experience with bulk truck contracts.
  • Must possess superior interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Willingness to embrace change.
  • SAP / S4 experience considered a plus.
  • CIPC Certification considered a plus.
  • CLTD Certification considered a plus.
  • CSCP Certification considered a plus.
