Job Summary
iKids U is seeking a dynamic and engaging Instructor to teach iKids Sports enrichment. As a Part-time, seasonal after school Instructor at iKids U, you will deliver a variety of age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development in children.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for education. The iKids Sports enrichment cycles through skills and introductory techniques of a sport every 4-6 weeks.
Sports included are Golf, Track & Field, Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer and more!
Instructor : SPORTS : Responsibilities
- Implement the iKids Sport lesson plans that align with program goals
- Lead and supervise elementary-age children during after-school activities
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children
- May lift 5-30 lbs; anticipate physical demands of a standard classroom, gym, and playground setting.
Instructor : SPORTS : Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, required (18 years of age minimum)
- CPR and First Aid certification, iKids will provide as needed
- Clear background / fingerprinting : Eligible status, required
- Available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- Experience working with children in a sport, after-school, or camp setting
- Knowledge of child development; age-appropriate activities; behavior management techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Independent transportation / support multiple campuses weekly
