- This position is a hybrid position with 1-2 days a week in the office located in Wilmington, NC* Respon s ib ilities : The Donor Database Coordinator (DDC) manages the Blackbaud Raisers Edge donor database, gift processing and donor stewardship, and assists with team file management and storage. Database Management
- Oversee donor gift processing and stewardship, including logging, entering and coding all donations (mail, web, event, in-kind, vehicle, etc.
and generating thank you letters. Ensure that donors are acknowledged using timely, effective, appropriate and consistent methods.
Manage information contained in the donor database. Document best practices and enforce rules for data entry; educate and train staff and volunteers.
Perform periodic maintenance to ensure that data is up-do-date and lacking duplicate records. Create mailing and emailing lists when needed by the department and organization.
- Track pledges and monthly gifts to ensure on-time payment
- Prepare and submit activity reports to Development Manager and Director of Development measuring successes against projections
- Interface with finance department and perform monthly and annual reconciliations. Assist finance with documentation needed for annual audit.
Interface with Habitat for Humanity International as data exchange contact for the Habitat 2.0 Fundraising program Document and update position processes on an ongoing basis Constituent Communications and Stewardship
- Implement donor stewardship plan including acknowledgement letters, thank you cards, donor appreciation gifts, and other communications via phone and email Manage event participant and constituent stewardship communication that is handled through Raiser’s Edge Track opportunities in RE to assist DM, Development Director and Grants Coordinator in file management Reports and Evaluation
- Working with other development staff, provide financial reports related to donations and sponsorships to aid with evaluation of fundraising progress Event Logistics
- Assist with the planning and implementation of donor recognition / cultivation events, including but not limited to special builds, Golden Hammer Breakfast, etc.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of other Habitat events (dedications, tours, information activities, fundraising events, etc.
that could be used as tools to cultivate individual donors and prospects Support for the Development Team
- Provide support for meetings including taking meeting minutes during staff meetings
- Work with the Operations Manager to manage the Development Department software including Blackbaud, Microsoft Office Suite, and the server Experience and Knowledge Requirements
- Commitment to the Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity mission
- Two or more years of database management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector utilizing Raiser’s Edge
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced spreadsheet and computing skills
- Knowledge of basic fundraising principles and practices
- Ability to understand and resolve technical problems independently
- Ability to comply with regulations and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities independently
- Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening test Physical Demand Requirements
