About :
A premium full-service law firm are looking to onboard a well-rounded Finance Associate into their dominant Boston office.
They welcome applicants that are looking to relocate to the Massachusetts area.
They are open to candidates who have any finance experience including the following : leveraged finance, structure finance / securitization, real estate finance, asset finance, corporate finance, aviation finance.
Experience :
- A minimum of two years of experience in a law firm setting.
- Prior experience with structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions in a wide variety of industries is required.
- The candidate should have a desire to work as a member of a dynamic transactional team representing lenders, borrowers, and sponsors in a variety of financing and investment matters.
- Qualified candidates will have strong law school academic credentials, along with relevant and sophisticated law firm and transaction experience.
- Associates must have a high degree of attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks and be a pro-active team player.
- An individual who is confident in assisting clients with ongoing deal administration.
Responsibilities :
- Associates within the team are encouraged to develop personal relationships with clients and to take responsibility for transactions, with full support from the partners and other members of the team.
- Undertake transactions directly, dealing with all aspects of the finance transaction.
- Engage in client marketing and business development activities including attending internal and external events.
- Provide clients with advice in a succinct, practical, and persuasive manner.
- Apply a commercial approach to research and evaluate relevance and accuracy in delivery of advice.
- Demonstrate good judgement and a good legal and commercial understanding of client’s particular needs.
