In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of thepany. Your responsibilities will include managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
You will work closely with the owner and oversee junior AP staff.
Your new role :
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy,pleteness, and timely reporting.
- Provide meaningful financial insights to senior management for strategic planning and decision-making.
- Supervise and manage the Payroll and Accounts Payable functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and vendor payments.
- Participate in creating annual budgets.
- Prepare year-end audit working papers.
- Ensurepliance with sales tax filings and requirements.
- Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all accounting processes (e.g., AR, AP, bank reconciliations, cash management, general ledger, financial preparation, and review).
- Assist with accounting-related special projects as needed.
What you will need to succeed :
- CPA Designation Preferred
- Motivated, self-directed and detail-oriented leader with proven work experience in senior accounting, finance or related field
- 3+ years experience within construction or similar field
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- You will possess a high level of moral judgment and integrity for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.
