Description : Assists the Pharmacist, under his or her supervision, in the daily operation of the Pharmacy.Interpret prescriptions and fill orders for a hospital pharmacist, ensuring timely delivery to all inpatientAssisting the pharmacist in processing physician orders, preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications to each patient in the appropriate manner after the pharmacist checks the orders.
Ensure quality control of all medication and medical supplies, collect medication in the correct dosage and strength, measure, count, or pour the medicine into bottles, label the bottles, and record all required data into the pharmacy system.
Other duties include preparing IV admixture, managing stock levels, and occasionally filling unit-dose carts without secondary review.
