Job Title : Event Manager

Job Location : Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches (On-Site)
If you are an experienced event manager who can raise sponsorship revenue and oversee and execute various events, we are looking for you!
In this position, you would be responsible for :
- preparing tailored sponsorship packages, and planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of events to ensure successful outcomes for the organization and its clients from start to finish;
- managing event budgets, including allocating resources and tracking expenses;
- implementing effective time management strategies to meet event deadlines;
- negotiating and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality events;
- upselling event packages and services to maximize revenue opportunities
- collaborating with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance;
- providing excellent guest services and ensuring attendee satisfaction.
Among other admirable qualities helpful to getting the job done well, the successful candidate for this position should possess the following skills :
- logistics and time management
- effective budget management, upselling, and negotiating
- event management and marketing strategy
- hospitality, with a focus on creating good memorable experiences
- communication and emotional intelligence
- creative problem-solving skills
Ideally, the following qualifications are desired :
- Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, public relations, hospitality, or a related field
- Two years or more experience in event planning and coordination
- proven track record of organizing successful events
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
In exchange for your time and expertise, the compensation package includes :
- $24 per hour
- a performance-based incentive
