LHH is partnering with a global client that is looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Arlington, TX .
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization, with a focus on ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
This in-office position offers a salary range of $75K to $90K along with a comprehensive benefits package. This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented accountant who can work collaboratively across the enterprise and enjoys a hands-on role in the financial operations of a growing company.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and post general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
Execute monthly close procedures, including reconciling general ledger accounts and analyzing financial statements.
Analyze cost center expenses, address variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
Prepare tax data for state and federal filings and assist with sales and use tax reporting across various jurisdictions.
Reconcile bank accounts and intercompany balances, resolving discrepancies with partners and foreign currency exchange.
Assist with financial and tax audits, including preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Post journal entries at month-end and handle a low volume of accounts payable processing as needed.
Manage weekly wire transfers, ensuring proper documentation and approvals through the banking system.
Monitor sales tax exceptions on vendor invoices, conducting research and follow-ups on flagged issues using Vertex and SAP systems.
Document and monitor internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
Participate in special projects and initiatives to support the broader accounting team’s goals.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
At least 5 years of accounting experience.
Strong analytical skills with experience preparing and posting general ledger entries.
Ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an internal customer service focus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet assigned deadlines.
Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels, management, and external agencies.
Proactive, independent, and eager to learn.
