Clean Harbors is looking for a Region Fleet Maintenance Manager . This person is responsible for managing overall safety, cost, quality, and productivity at all maintenance hub and spoke facilities assigned to the region.
Responsible for maximizing the Company's return on investment for all fleet assets (equipment and vehicles) by planning, managing, and directing all activities associated with maintenance in their region hub and spokes.
Directly manages daily responsibilities for lead mechanics and ultimately responsible for location performance. Partners closely with internal customers to support business needs through the company-wide maintenance strategy.
Salary Range : 90,000 - 100,000K / annually + potential for bonus

- Coaches, counsels, and leads employees to deliver safe and productive performance against established expectations and performance metrics.
- Manages and ensures performance against key performance metrics (safety, quality, cost, etc.)
- Delivers, reports, and escalates performance against planned budget’s, financial analysis, and safety metrics
- Directs, maintains and enforces the safety protocols for the maintenance hub and spoke locations; reviews safety records and manages action plans to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance employees;
- Complies with all Clean Harbors (personnel, safety, health and environmental, etc.) policies, procedures, as well as laws and regulations, including SOP's, AP's, Personnel Manual, OSHA, EPA, and DOT;
- Executes projects and daily productivity a safe, efficient and profitable manner.
- Responsible for the management of all aspects of the maintenance hub and spoke locations in accordance with the region's business plan and budget;
- Implements corporate and region policies, procedures and standards to ensure standardization, and brand image;
- Ensures the proper maintenance and repair of equipment at all Hub and spoke maintenance sites by managing day to date activities;
- Evaluates vehicles and equipment with respect to replacement due to age, history of repair and overall maintenance costs;
- Remains current and ensures adherence to all laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting area of responsibility.

- Prepares reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for maintenance facility operations improvements.
- Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and / or reduce operating costs;
- Ensures that all personnel is adequately trained, equipped and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner;
- Communicates regularly with all maintenance supervisors, planners and parts personnel to ensure collaborative two-way communication.
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, and machinery are maintained in accordance with the Company's preventative maintenance program and the physical facility properly maintained.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver License
- 5-7 years of Fleet maintenance experience
- Strong leadership and personnel development competencies
- Ability to work across business lines in a matrixed organization.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance systems, processes and reporting
- Ability to create, track and report on actionable deliverables through data and information
- Strategic planning, coupled with tactical execution
- Ability to use computer and applicable company software.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications - MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access
- Able to apply standards and processes that maintain regulatory compliance
- Fleet maintenance experience with a decentralized customer base
- Demonstrated project and change leadership ability
- Ability to facilitate / train others, and ability to navigate and handle difficult conversations.
- Financial understanding, with the ability to set and drive performance and strategy against financial and productivity goals
