Overview : The Recreational Therapist works under the supervision of the Manager, Administrative Supervisor and / or Director of Behavioral Services, and plans, organizes and directs activities and programs for psychiatric patients designed to improve their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
Qualifications : Education : Bachelors degree in Recreation Therapy required. Certifications : Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
SAFE Level 2 within 6 Months Of Hire. Other : Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are required in order to evaluate patient conditions, design therapy plans and assess patient progress.
Preferred Experience : One to two years.
