ERC is partnering with The QTI Group, as it continues to expand its impact, to hire a dynamic and experienced Business Development Specialist .

This is an uncapped opportunity to leverage your B2B sales experience and be part of something that matters sharing the value and services to support good mental health.

Position Overview :

The Business Development Specialist will be based in Madison, Wisconsin, but focused on B2B opportunities throughout Madison and the Southwest (La Crosse) and Southeast (Waukesha) regions of Wisconsin.

We seek a self-starter who will identify and nurture qualified leads and demonstrate and sell the value of a true mental health benefit for employers to offer employees.

The successful candidate will have a track record of using consultative selling skills to clearly understand customer / prospect business needs and the ability to connect those needs to ERC’s program offerings.

This position offers unlimited potential for the right individual who can create something for ERC that doesn’t exist today!

Responsibilities :

  • Prospect and identify new opportunities
  • Travel for prospecting and sales meetings / presentations as necessary
  • Pipeline business development opportunities
  • Communicate the value of mental health to prospects and customers
  • Drive the sales process to successful closure
  • Represent ERC at relevant events (conferences, networking events, civic organizations, etc.)
  • Manage and update data points, including a new company-specific CRM
  • Ensuring flawless hand-offs within the Account Management team

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience via consultative selling
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Psychology, Marketing, Business, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • Group insurance / broker experience is a big plus
  • Experience with sales cycles of 1 to 12 months
  • Ability to speak passionately and intelligently about mental wellness / mental health and its impact on the individual, workplace, and community
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization skills
  • Reliable transportation

Travel Requirements :

  • Most travel will be within the Madison, WI, area; however, some overnight travel in Wisconsin will be required
  • Two to three days per month in ERC’s Green Bay office for training, meetings, etc.
  • Two to three days per month travel to ERC’s La Crosse office
  • Subject to change as business needs change

Compensation and Benefits :

  • Competitive annual base salary of $50,000 plus an uncapped commission plan (1st year on target earnings $70-80k+)
  • Additional annual base salary during training period (expected to be six months)
