Position Summary
The University of Central, Arkansas School of Nursing invites applications for an on-campus, non-tenure track, 9 month appointed, full-time, Clinical Instructor I position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities The faculty member will provide instruction in the baccalaureate nursing program (didactic, laboratory, simulation and clinical), engage in scholarship / practice activities, and participate in service activities at the institutional and professional level.

- Demonstrate effective follow-up. Required Education and / or Experience The candidate MUST have : 1) Master’s degree in nursing.
2) Unencumbered RN license. 3) Clinical and / or teaching experience in, Medical / Surgical Nursing, Critical Care Nursing and / or Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing.
Candidate with other clinical specialties will be considered.
Must have all clinical requirements mandated by the clinical agencies used for student clinical experiences. These requirements include : 1) MMR (2 vaccines or a positive titer), 2) Varicella (2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer), 3) Hepatitis B (2 part series or positive surface antibodies above 10), 4) Tdap (must be received within the last 10 years), 5) Tb (Initial testing : Interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA) or a tuberculin skin test (TST) for persons without documented prior testing, TB disease or latent TB infection (LTBI).
Retesting : No annual retest or routine serial testing at any interval after baseline in the absence of a known exposure or ongoing transmission is required), 6) Infuenza vaccine (annually);
and 7) current CPR certification BLS from American Health Association.
Preferred Education and / or Experience It is PREFERRED that the candidate has : 1) Educational preparation as a nurse educator or experience teaching at the baccalaureate level.
2) Experience with learning management systems and / or online teaching at the baccalaureate or higher degree. 3) Experience with simulation teaching at the baccalaureate level or higher.
4) Education or experience in the following nursing specialty areas : Medical / Surgical, Critical Care Nursing and / or Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing.
Candidates with clinical experience(s) in other nursing areas will be considered. License(s) / Certifications (Required or Preferred) Licensed as an RN in Arkansas
