Reporting to the assistant vice president of Human Resources, the manager of Learning & Development is responsible for defining and implementing the strategic vision for overall learner effectiveness of the organization that aligns with Arbella’s business plan.

Delivers meaningful learning and career development opportunities to support all employees in achievement of their full potential.

The manager will collaborate to define Arbella’s learning strategy, execute the plan, and manage the L&D department and its budget.

A forward-thinker, they will bring strong leadership, best practices, communication, facilitation, and relationship skills to the job.

Experience creating a learning environment that meets the needs of an onsite and remote (hybrid) workforce is essential.

  • Experience with feedback methods, surveys, and focus groups

  • Experience with creating learning programs and knowledge of innovative learning tools.
  • Proven Management / Leadership experience and skills required

Responsibilities :

Provides Arbella employees with opportunities to achieve their full potential, thereby driving engagement and retention.

Ensures programs are aligned with Arbella’s culture and values

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and makes learning recommendations that are aligned with Arbella’s business plans
  • Incorporates innovative and creative learning options in our employee’s development including LinkedIn learning and other digital learning platforms
  • Reviews the entire life cycle of the learning experience from the first point of contact to the last and identifies ways to improve learner effectiveness
  • Defines optimal learning experiences for the organization, including new hire onboarding / corporate orientation, advanced training, moment-of-need support, post event coaching, etc.
  • Partners with and provides best practices to trainers throughout the company to ensure consistency of messages
  • Designs and implements Arbella’s hybrid learning strategy utilizing multimedia methods and platforms to deliver learning experiences and follow-up touchpoints
  • Sets goals, objectives, and success measures and evaluates and reports on results
  • Partners to deliver Arbella’s Leadership Development Program
  • Provides one-on-one coaching and mentoring, using a variety of assessment tools
  • Designs, delivers and rolls out leadership programs for all levels of employees including pre-leadership program for high potential individual contributors and service department leadership program
  • Facilitates training and team building sessions to achieve specific learning goals
  • Leads talent development, promotion, and succession planning processes (utilizing 9 box tool)
  • Effectively promotes programs to drive employee awareness and participation
  • Manages the Learning & Development department and department budget
  • Becomes recognized as the company expert on all learning initiatives

Requirements :

  • A bachelor’s degree in organizational development, human resources, psychology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years experience in a similar position
  • Experience with Workday and LinkedIn Learning a plus
  • Experience with Predictive Index and Management Research Group 360 or similar assessment tools, or ability to become certified
  • Management experience preferred
  • CLP Certified Professional in Learning and Performance credential or SHRM Certified Professional or Senior Certified Professional credential a plus
