JOB SUMMARY :
The Manager, Customer Finance will have primary responsibilities to assist in managing and developing retail customer financing and wholesale dealer financing solutions within Oshkosh Corporation’s Vocational Segment.
The Manager, Customer Finance will support the sales teams within the Vocational Segment while driving for profitable revenue growth and mitigating risk associated with customer and dealer financing through effective structuring with third party funders.
Brands within the Vocational Segment include Pierce fire apparatus, Oshkosh Airport Products Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles, Maxi-Metal fire apparatus, McNeilus refuse collection vehicles, Oshkosh AeroTech airport ground support products and gate equipment, IMT field service vehicles and truck mounted cranes, and Oshkosh S-Series front discharge concrete mixer vehicles.
This position will report to the Director, Customer Finance Vocational Segment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Develop and maintain a sustainable relationship with : The Vocational Segment regional sales teams, dealer network and sales representatives to establish a rapport with them and their customers to provide a value added proposition through financing of Vocational Segment products;
Vocational Segment external customers to work directly with them on their capital needs and structure a financing solution to meet those needs.
Continually partner with these customers to fully understand and proactively structure a financing solution to fit their businesses, objectives, strategies, and challenges within the eligibility requirements of the Vocational Segment network of third-party funders;
andVocational Segment’s network of third-party funders to achieve the commercial and financial objectives set by the Segment.
- Work closely with Vocational Segment Finance and Oshkosh Corporation Treasury to identify sustainable and appropriate financing solutions to support sales initiatives within the Vocational Segment.
- Assist in identifying additional funders and trade sales tools with which the Vocational Segment can work to increase financing capacity to support customer sales.
- Provide training and support to the Vocational Segment sales teams to encourage good practice and increase sales using customer financing.
- Review, perform, understands, and explain an effective financial analysis of the customer’s financial statements, risk, cash flows and collateral.
- Work with third party funder asset management teams and third party used equipment entities to develop and maintain asset residual value curves.
- Travel within North America 10 to 20% of the time visiting existing and prospective customers to structure a financing solution to meet the customer’s needs and attending trade shows for the Vocational Segment brands.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5-plus years related experience
- Ability to travel up to 10%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience building and managing effective relationship with customers, vendors and internal partners.
Proficient use of Apple and Microsoft Office products.
Credit underwriting background, in the equipment financing industry.
Basic understanding of Equipment Leasing and Finance Accounting principles.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Experience traveling within North America.
Self-motivated individual.
