Manages, performs, evaluates, and implements medical record retrieval processes for risk adjustment programs. Partners with the leadership, staff, and the provider relations department to coordinate chart retrieval projects with contracted provider locations.

Manages daily functions of Quality Coordinators deployed for chart retrieval functions. Provides vendor oversight for delegated departmental initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides leadership to Quality Improvement team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
  • Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
  • Manages, performs, and implements chart retrieval processes; designs, implements, and evaluates operational processes related to chart retrieval functions.
  • Coordinates staff communications with identified provider practices for medical record retrieval initiatives; collaborates with Provider Relations department and perform outreach to mitigate non-compliant provider practices.
  • Provides vendor oversight for delegated departmental initiatives; coordinates daily operations of medical record retrieval staff.
  • Manages and evaluates Quality Coordinators and other staff deployed for chart retrieval and processing functions; conducts employee training and education relative to chart retrieval operations.
  • Creates and manages schedule for on-site retrieval appointments and / or remote data exchanges; evaluates effectiveness of programs and associated staff.
  • Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; partners with management to develop metrics to evaluate performance.
  • Collects retrieval data for review and analysis; prepares analysis and reports for management.
  • Monitors program plan performance and prepares status reports; prepares additional recommendations and adjustments to plan, as needed.
  • Oversees gaps in care outreach initiatives, hospital readmission program, medical management pregnancy program, audit operations, reporting and enrollee training.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.
