Lynn Electronics is actively recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Outbound Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide oversight and supervision of assigned team members, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and other company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Supervise team members in the warehouse outbound operations ensuring work is being performed accurately and efficiently Equipment maintenance : Ensuring that facility equipment is properly maintained;
report any issues or discrepancies to the Materials Manager. Read, understand and interpret production or sales orders and customer requirements.
Picking : understand daily orders backlog and adjust manpower to ensure all orders are picked on time. Packing : check accuracy that the items picked match the order and are undamaged.
Pack and label orders in packages and shipping containers ensuring they meet shipping regulations. Shipping : ensure outgoing shipments have required accurate labels and pack slips, and that they ship on time.
Wrap pallets and schedule trucks as needed. Communicate with carriers as needed. Train assigned team members on all processes, procedures or equipment.
Implement and support all process changes. Assist with bi-weekly payroll reporting. Ensure that work is conducted in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
Report any incidents in accordance with company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS : Required Skills : Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills for handling supervisory matters including but not limited to training, leading, supervising work performance and coaching.
Ability to coach team members toward continuous improvement, timeliness and accuracy while encouraging a collaborative, team oriented work environment.
Basic understanding of an ERP system a must, (including Sage preferred). Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal;
must be able to read, write and speak English. Strong attention to detail, organizational, project management, problem solving and prioritization skills.
Certified Forklift Operator (current or previous) Certified Forklift Trainer preferred, or willingness to complete training certification.
A bility to work independently to accomplish tasks, while also having strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with others.
Resourcefulness to meet tight deadlines and flexibility with fluctuating priorities. Must possess a positive demeanor and maintain positive interactions with all internal and external customers.
Ability to perform the essential functions and physical demands of the position with or without accommodation. Preferred Skills & Experience : 3- 4+ years’ experience in warehouse operations 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Consistently spending time sitting, typing, talking, walking and using repetitive motion.
Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery, such as a computer. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
Visual capacity enabling frequent use of computer equipment. Heavy work : ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 75 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 50 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the duties of this job, the individual will work in close proximity and walk in a manufacturing / warehouse environment (exposure to dust, temperature, noise, and particles).
