Job Summary :

The Production Director will support all production aspects of audio, video, lighting, and stage design across all of Forest Hill’s campuses.

He or she will be responsible for gear maintenance; AVL project management; as well as designing, implementing, and supporting consistent AVL platforms across all campuses.

Performs duties as established to meet the organizational mission, vision, and values (DNA) of Forest Hill Church.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Relational Rhythm

• Work with Production CTL on AVL design / project management for new campuses and current campus upgrades.
• Help with production training and volunteer development.
• As needed, backfill for production staff across campuses.
• Must attend weekly global and campus specific staff meetings.
• Actively participate effectively in workflow planning meetings.

Intelligent Design

• Develop maintenance schedules for AVL equipment.
• Oversee repairs of AVL systems.
• Oversee inventory and asset management for AVL equipment.
• Take lead on set design pre-fab, implementation plan, and rigging.
• Assist with the production needs for global Forest Hill Events.
• Process feedback and evaluations from weekend services

Savvy Stewardship

• As needed, backfill for production staff across campuses.
• Effectively manage resources (people, time, money) for highest and best use.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Proficient knowledge of audio, video and lighting in a live environment
• Proficient in AVL wiring, soldering, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Ability to trouble-shoot problems which may occur during a service and efficiently solve the issue
• Strong relational skills with production and worship staff
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining complex AVL systems
• Ability to interact professionally and courteously with church ministries
• Ability to communicate effectively and ask for clarification when needed
• At least four years of experience in production or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to occasionally lift and move over 50lbs (moving lights, road cases, cameras, etc.)
• Must be able to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and climb to install production equipment.
