We currently have a role available for a Life Science Project Manager in a remote work setting. Because of the demanding nature of this role, the selected candidate should be in a distraction-free environment.
Job duties include, but are not limited to :
- Providing organizational, administrative, and logistical support in varied capacities, demonstrating proficiency and applying reasonable understanding of procurement (product and services) knowledge.
- Working closely with company's Project Manager team, contributing towards key business, operational, procurement, administrative, and logistical needs.
- Delivering direct and indirect organizational support for contractual enablement, product and service procurement, logistical activities, and on demand administrative support.
- Ability to pivot quickly with changing work needs while maintaining high levels of accuracy with multiple projects.
- Updating team as needed and communicating issues clearly.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products required, specifically Excel. Familiarity with Ariba, SmartSheet or other procurement programs recommended.
- Providing direct and indirect support to external engagement enablement and procurement needs :
- Provide support to procurement activities and processes for new vendor enablement and onboarding, third party management, requesting quotes for specialized reagents, creating requisitions / PO's, reviewing and approving invoices etc.
- Utilize scientific systems software to review and update registration records for purchased license materials.
- Supporting logistical, administrative and other operational areas :
- Enabling documentation and communication support to international shipping and receiving logistics.
- Scheduling cross functional in-person and virtual meetings on demand.
- Planning for on-site and off-site team and cross-functional meetings on demand.
Job requirements include, but are not limited to :
BS - Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field with 3-5 years of experience in project management, procurement, etc.
in pharma / biotech. arenas.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Works well both within a team and as an individual.
- Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
- The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
