Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Novaspect, Inc, an Emerson Impact Partner and global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our fast paced, customer orientated team in our Schaumburg, IL location.

This role involves leading a team of Accounts Receivable Specialists, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliations, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will assist with most accounts receivable activities including on-going review of credit limits, portal submissions, customer invoicing, and problem resolution.

The position has additional responsibility be to establish and build relationships with key internal and external customers to identify and understand non-payment issues.

The Account Receivable Supervisor will assist the finance department in the preparation and review of key financial performance metrics for the accounts receivable area.

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of Accounts Receivable Specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Set clear goals and performance targets for the team, and ensure they are met
• Manage all aspects of the accounts receivable activities
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, parked cash, and portal submissions and take necessary actions to minimize outstanding balances
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts related to accounts receivable
• Communicate with customers to resolve payment disputes and review all short payments for validity
• Oversee the accurate posting and allocation of payments to customer accounts
• Ability to quickly recognize a problem, analyze it and arrive at a clear and concise resolution that will benefit all parties involved
• Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to assist in the identification, understanding and resolution of unpaid balances.
• Involve inside and outside sales when appropriate to facilitate communication with the customer and work to receive payment on past due invoices
• Assist the Controller in establishing credit limits for new customers using various financial tools / research to access their credit worthiness as well as the revision of existing customer’s credit limits
• Actively participate with team members to achieve company and departmental goals
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline the accounts receivable process
• Establish and maintain professional processes and procedures to reconcile and understand customer non-payment issues
• Maintain update accounts receivable policies, procedures, and training documents
• Any other duties as assigned including reports as needed

Requirements

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Education and / or Experience :

• High school diploma required
• 10+ years of accounts receivable or customer service experience with a strong emphasis on customer service and relationship building.
• Prior supervisory experience a plus.
• High computer application literacy including Word, Excel and the Internet are required, and ability to learn internal business systems.

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Pay :

• Compensation potential : $61,000 - $74,000; inclusive of base and 5% bonus
• Hourly Role

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Schedule :

7 : 30am 4 : 30pm or 8 : 00am 5 : 00pm with one hour for lunch.

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Location : Schaumburg, IL.

Salary Description $27 - $33 per hour
