Join our team as an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer in San Diego, CA. You will ensure a safe work environment by identifying hazards, developing safety procedures, conducting training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
This role involves maintaining safety records, participating in inspections, and coordinating safety initiatives across multiple sites.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and deliver safety training programs (PPE, ergonomics, hazardous materials).
- Conduct safety investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain safety records.
- Develop and deliver tailored safety training programs (e.g., ergonomics, hazardous materials, PPE, emergency procedures).
- Implement corporate health and safety programs.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and prepare necessary reports.
- Complete federal and state safety filings.
- Manage safety in specialized areas like lasers, radiation, and military RF operations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or a related field.
- Two+ years of progressive safety engineering experience (additional experience may substitute for education).
- Experience with OSHA inspections, lasers, radiation, and military safety.
- Solid understanding of industrial hygiene and occupational safety principles and regulations.
- Proficient in conducting training for all employee levels.
- Advanced computer skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- No C2C or C2H candidates will be considered
- Ability to get and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
