Position Title : Facilities and Equipment Mechanic Reports To : Assistant Facilities Manager - Equipment and Waterfront LogisticsPosition Summary : Maintain and repair facilities equipment to ensure optimal functional purpose.

Meet productivity goals and quality standards as set by management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Run maintenance, oil changes, and repairs on facilities equipment such as hydraulic hoses, forklifts, compressors, generators, welding machines, cranes, preservation equipment, machine shop tools, diesel engines, and company vehicles.
Maintain periodic scheduled checks for equipment to ensure all are in working order and prolong the life of equipment.Troubleshoot electric and mechanical failures on equipment in the field, get equipment operational in a safe and timely manner.
Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and company trucks.Pump fuel for vehicles and equipment.Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be flexible in work hours, on call as needed.Skills / Technical Knowledge : Basic electrical knowledge for equipment and facilities.
Basic knowledge for handling fluids and gases under pressure.Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Implement solutions to prevent operational and maintenance issues.Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively operate office equipment, to include desktop computers, calculators, printers, copy machines and telephones.
