Overview of the Payroll Specialist role :
- Process and maintain accurate payroll records for employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and benefits accurately, while closely monitoring and verifying data entries.
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to gather relevant employee information and address any payroll-related queries or concerns.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including tax and insurance filings, in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations, and ensure proper implementation of any necessary updates or modifications.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with discretion.
Preferred qualifications for the Payroll Specialist :
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in using payroll software and systems.
