Job Description
Prepares, organizes, and maintains accurate, updated information in both electronic and paper participant files reflecting the entire history of a program participant including log of supportive services issued
Provides case management with a focus on helping customers to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiency
Complete the tasks from the menu of services that are selected by each school to which you are assigned
Schedule and conduct workshops, webinars. and other classroom activities designed to prepare students for career pathways
Coordinate online learning activities; assigns appropriate courses related to individual employment plans and goals, and monitors progress
Administer Pre / Post-test assessments per curriculum and course certification documented in TWIST
Conduct assessment of skills, aptitudes and abilities
Research and identify and deliver appropriate curriculum as needed to meet objectives
Ensure adequate preparation for all training activities; materials on hand, room set-up etc.
Interpret employer feedback to tailor course content as needed
Collaborate with area businesses, advisory groups, and agencies to encourage the further development of school-to-work opportunities
Investigate and share ideas regarding post-secondary options and adult services and network with all appropriate community agencies and organizations
Develop rapport with students in order to mutually explore career options and interests
Keep the school staff informed of your input and status of each student assigned
Encourage students to maintain career portfolios allowing them to document their learning and skill attainment
Display a clear understanding of Chapter 339 and use it as the basis for planning all student activities and community interactions
Work with students individually or in groups to problem solve employment issues
All other training and training management duties as assigned
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in education, counseling, social work or a related field.
3-5 years of instructional design and facilitation experience, preferably related to career preparation.
Strong facilitation, public speaking, and guided learning background
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lead learning processes and relate to diverse populations
