Responsibilities

This full-time opportunity in Behavioral Health offers 36 hours per week, full benefits and a day shift schedule. Hours for this position are 7am-7pm with rotating weekends .

This position qualifies for a $1,000 sign-on bonus!

The Brook Dupont, located in Louisville, KY, is an 88-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for children and adults.

Mental Health Technicians are responsible for completing safety checks on patients, leading a group of patients to activities within the facility, completing vitals, and other tasks associated with safety of the patients.

Mental Health Technicians assist the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.

Job Duties

  • Performs safety checks daily and as needed per guidelines
  • Knows location and condition of all patients at all times
  • Ensure proper hand off of clinical information
  • Assists in management of behavior and control of destructive / unsafe behavior per facility guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
  • No experience required. Direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
  • Must maintain current CPR certification.
  • Computer skills Ability to : gain training through web-based programs; participate in employee surveys; enroll in company benefits.
  • Communication Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
  • Teamwork Must be able to actively participate in a treatment team environment.
