Responsibilities :
- Performing quality inspections, root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions and leading improvement projects.
- Lead and report on Root Cause and Corrective Action efforts
- Participate in or lead continuous improvement events / projects.
- Participate in or lead plant equipment repair, improvement, and maintenance activities.
- Create and maintain inspection procedures
- Perform metallographic inspections.
- Maintain and provide training on inspection systems and tools.
- Establish machine capability envelopes for key production equipment.
- Track and report on vendor quality.
- Prepare progress or status reports.
- Perform materials testing as needed.
- Perform dimensional inspections as needed to support quality technicians.
Qualifications :
- Scientific degree (BS or AS with demonstrated experience).
- Experience with a process improvement framework : FMEA, six sigma, or other.
- 3+ years of experience with dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with metallographic inspection.
- Solid modeling with Solidworks.
- Practical experience with statistical analysis.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings
