South Florida Bible College invites applicationsfor an Adjunct Professor qualified to teach undergraduate coursesin English.

Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities :
Teach undergraduate courses (Readingand Writing Essentials Beginning College Writing Composition I andII Literature).
PreferredQualifications :
Earned Ph.D. in English with an emphasisin Composition and Rhetoric plus experience teachingComposition.
EssentialQualifications :
Earned MA in English Literature orComposition and Rhetoric or a masters degree with at least 18graduate semester hours in English Communications Creative WritingJournalism Linguistics Rhetoric orComposition.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities :
- Create anenvironment of learning through effective teaching skills maintainstudentcentered focus.
- Utilize a variety ofteaching strategies and encourage activelearning.
- Create learning activities includingassignments tests quizzes and labs and assess student outcomes in atimely manner through effective assessment and constructivefeedback to students to support the learningprocess.
- Perform lectures for campus coursesand hold scheduled virtual course meetings for online courses.Teaching will be conducted through oncampus and onlinedelivery.
- Interact positively with diversestudent populations; provide all students with equal opportunitiesfor learning.
- Demonstrate a commitment to theindustry maintain knowledge and skill relevancy through continuingeducation as defined in the faculty developmentplan.

- Prior teaching experience in a collegesetting is a plus particularly teachingonline.
- Teaches all courses as assigned by theDepartment Chair or Coordinator.

- Meets all scheduled classes on theassigned day / time.
- Uses scheduled class timeappropriately.
