Join this inorganic commodity chemical producer as a National Sales Manager. This is a home-based position, ideally located in the Eastern USA.
A location in the Upper Midwest such as Chicago, Indianapolis, or Columbus, is very good for this. This is an individual contributor role managing one product line.
The accounts are primarily in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established division of a large global chemical organization.
This is a very autonomous role which combines product management and sales. The income opportunity is solid. Overnight travel is expected to be approximately 20%.
Responsibilities : This is a role strategically managing market pricing and growing sales. It would be ideal for someone with a background in both sales & product management.
The level of sales responsibility will exceed $50mil. Most of the product is sold in bulk (railcars / truckloads). Develop, analyze, and negotiate sales agreements at accounts.
Establish strong working relationships with all key contacts. Communicate critical market information. Travel overnight as needed.
Requirements : 8+ years of chemical industry sales experience. An understanding of product & margin management is a must.
Must be able to use various data points to analyze and strategically set market pricing. A bachelor's degree is required.
Excellent sales & communication skills, team player, a high level of self-motivation & drive. Solid computer skills.

Compensation : Base salary : $130,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience. Plus, an annual bonus targeted at 15% of base salary per year.
