Technical Support Engineer

POSITION INFORMATION

This position will be a key member of the technical support team. As a member of this team, you will be working with customers and internal support groups to ensure Datalogic’s success.

ROLE MISSION

The Technical Support Engineer will work in a team environment supporting scanner devices and applications for customers, Datalogic Sales, and other customer supporting teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Trouble shooting and diagnostic of Datalogic products of all HHS, FRS, Mobile and ID products at level one and specialization where needed.

Work with engineers, R&D and Quality engineers for solutions and remediations to develop and implement solutions for customers.

Find root cause of customer issues and develop solutions.

Work with engineers to produce understandable design and feature documentation for troubleshooting product and application problems and recommendations of product changes.

Support customers remotely over the phone and / or with email written instruction and keeping accurate records in a CRM, (Customer Relationship Management) system.

Support the RMA (Return Material Authorization) team with RMA creation and calling customers.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Education (School / Specialization) Associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications, or relevant experience.

Helpdesk experience is also a plus. 1 to 2 years in a technical environment, optical, mechanical, electrical or software preferred.

Language Fluent English; bilingual communication, Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

Experience Ability to communicate well by phone, email, and chat. Experience with Microsoft office products such as Excel and PowerPoint.

1-2 years in a technical environment, optical, mechanical, electrical or software preferred. Helpdesk experience is also a plus.
