Primary Responsibilities :
This position will assist in supporting NISC’s internal applications and may administer a project of their own. This position is up to 40 hours per week summer internship extending from May 2025 through August 2025.

Essential Duties :
- Assist implementation of internal, on premise or cloud-based applications.
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance of small scope and less complex internal IT applications.
- Assist with and understand initiatives around automation and data transformation.
- Prepare Change Requests and follow-up to resolution.
- Provide second tier support troubleshooting basic level IT application problems or issues.
- Support general business needs and basic administration functions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Demonstrates a strong aptitude for acquiring new skills and knowledge quickly
- Strong customer orientation.
- Related coursework and general understanding of Windows or MacOS.
- Related coursework or basic understanding of scripting. (Bash, Python, Powershell, etc.)
- Basic software management experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively adapt to change.
- Ability to interact in a positive manner.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior, and confidentiality.

Desired Education and / or Certifications :
- High School diploma or equivalency required
- Pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field
