Korn Ferry is retained by a manufacturing company in the Middletown, Ohio area to find a Human Resources Director. This HR Director will lead the human resources department for an expanding organization at the forefront of innovation.
Role Overview :
- Lead a team of HR professionals and provide guidance on critical HR issues.
- Enhance and streamline HR operations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement training and development programs to improve employee skills and support career growth.
- Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent, minimizing turnover and fostering career advancement.
- Execute recruitment strategies for both hourly and salaried professionals.
- Implement best practices to maximize the effectiveness of the human resources function.
- Support the company's expansion into new locations by contributing to organizational design and structure.
- Participate in future contract negotiations and manage relationships with unions.
- Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Advocate for the organization’s vision and mission, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Develop initiatives that enhance employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and shareholder value.
Requirements :
- A bachelor’s degree in business or organizational leadership is required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in human resources.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial company is required.
- Currently working for a company with between 50 300 total employees.
- Labor relations experience is preferred.
- Must be willing to work on-site at the Middletown area office five days a week.
