Job Description :
Pay Range $44.86hr - $56.96hr
Responsibilities :
- Semi-independently execute defined experiments, data analysis and data QC.
- Report on scientific results to meet project deadlines.
- Work at the bench to develop and execute established and Client molecular and cell-based assays for drug screening as well as understanding molecular pathways (Proliferation, Apoptosis, Flow Cytometry etc.).
- Perform cell biology and molecular biology including primary and tumor cell culture, lentiviral transductions, RNA and protein preparation from cells and tissue, RT-PCR, western blotting, and ELISA.
Some training may be provided.
- Hands-on experience in working with CRISPR, siRNA and shRNA is a plus. Training will be provided.
- May involve handling and processing patient derived tissues and blood samples.
- Collaborate effectively and cultivate positive and productive relationships with other scientists.
- May involve presentation of data to manager and project team.
- Thoughtful review of data and help plan next steps.
- Participate in maintenance of routine laboratory instrumentation and supplies.
- Adherence to laboratory safety policies and practices.
Qualifications :
Have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2-4 years work experience in the Pharma industry. Masters degree acceptable.
PhD candidates will not be considered.
- Demonstrate proficiency with sterile cell culture, cell-based assays (CTG, apoptosis) and molecular biology techniques (Protein, DNA and RNA isolations, Western blot, qRT-PCR, Flow Cytometry).
- Experience with high-throughput drug screening is a plus.
- Possess some trouble shooting and problem-solving skills to resolve technical questions in a multi- disciplinary environment.
- Be able to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities.
- Possess excellent communication, organization skills and attention to detail.
