Arbor Homes, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is seeking a National Director of Architecture and Design to join our team located in Indianapolis.
This individual will oversee the Design & Architectural Production Management for new home residential construction. We are seeking an industry professional with a passion for design, project management, drafting technologies, and leadership of an internal Architecture team and external support resources.

What Will You Be Doing?
- Oversee master plan set conceptual internal design and updates with external resources
- Review and coordinate Architectural file modifications and reposting protocols
- Coordinate department leads for multi-state residential new home construction
- Liaison for divisional and trade partner related request for information
- Direct team leads for weekly production key performance indicators
- Communicate with engineering resources on structural updates
- Work closely with Purchasing, Estimating, and Production teams for print related clarifications
- Technical director for CAD interface with Kova Sapphire integration and Black point data transfer
- Constant understanding of value engineering and controlling cost impact
- Direct continuous improvement metrics to maximize operational efficiencies
- Provide effective and positive communication with customers
What Will You Bring?
- BS / BA in Drafting or CAD Design
- 5-10 years Residential Drafting Experience
- 3D Architectural Experience (AutoCAD preferred)
- Engaging communicator and collaborator
- Diligent project and task management skills
