Purpose of the role
As a Jr. Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project planning and execution process. You will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with various teammates and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of our projects.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to forecast costs will be essential in helping us deliver high-quality results within budget.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand scope of work.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project-related expenses.
- Coordinate between the internal team and the external team for custom sample requests during the design phase of projects.
- Participate in management of customer and project information in Autex CRM.
- Maintain a technical proficiency in Autex Products.
- Liaise and support Autex appointed distributors and manufacturers reps
- Communicate queries and issues to the relevant internal team member(s) to ensure a prompt reply can be given to the Client.
- Proactively resolves customer queries, acting as liaison between customer and relevant Autex department, meeting customer needs in a courteous and timely manner.
- Track, follow-up and resolve customer's outstanding issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Requires eye for detail, proof reading for accuracy, and maintaining quality expectations.
- Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively present information and answer questions in terms that are easily comprehended
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
- Comfortable with learning product information and solutions quickly
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in the Building Materials and Construction industry is preferred but not required
- 2+ years architectural quoting experience is preferred but not required
- Must be able to read architectural drawings, specifications, and be able to perform take-offs
- Experience with an on screen take off software is a plus
- Authorized to work in the US
