In this role, you will be responsible for planning and managing the execution of the System Drives Division segment strategy for target markets and industries in the US market to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the entire System Drives offering in a profitable way.

You will lead, develop, and coach the System Drives Industry Sales organization to exceed sales targets and ensure high customer satisfaction.

You will define the go-to-market model and segment strategy in target industries and applications.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, and implement the sales strategy, strategic sales, and business development initiatives for target industry segments, such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Hydrogen, Metals, Mining, Cement, and other process industries.
  • Identify new business opportunities in emerging sub-segments and applications, and implement growth strategy with identified hunt accounts through customer acquisition and lead generation;

close opportunities with new accounts.

  • Develop and manage an industry sales team. Establish sales targets and ensure sales achievement through regular oversight and defining and implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation of the segment strategy and related go-to-market models through indirect channels or direct Regional- or Project Sales teams.
  • Ensure ABB is included in relevant specifications, approved vendor lists, and frame agreements with target end-user accounts.
  • Identify investments and maintain a project pipeline through early engagement with end-users and EPCs.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant sales experience required.
  • Travel up to 50% required.
  • Extensive experience with and in-depth knowledge of the US Industrial Market, including a detailed understanding of drives markets and applications.
  • Strong leadership, sales management, and change management capabilities with a proven track record.
  • Previous experience and proven track record in sales management roles.
  • Previous experience in direct sales and managing sales professionals in a Manufacturer Representative Sales Force.
  • Strong sales strategy and execution capabilities with a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key accounts, Sr. Executive level, etc.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
