What's the Short Version?

The Associate Software Developer is responsible for translating requirements into software designs, developing computer software and helping define SanMar's software development practices.

This role also maintains awareness of emerging and evolving technologies that can assist SanMar in reaching its business goals.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java-based applications.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and implement user-friendly front-end interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code that adheres to best practices.
  • Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts and Java development.
  • Experience with front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Experience with JUnit testing or other testing frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience working with SAP Commerce / Hybris is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, DevOps organizations, and the stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Services and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with Stored Procedures and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

What's Our Offer?

Salary Range : You ll earn between $75,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience.

Bonus : You ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.

Paid Time Off : You ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start.

Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

Hybrid : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.

SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8 : 00-5 : 00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
