This role is hybrid and based 20 minutes north of Seattle.

Responsibilities may include

Custom Theme and Plugin Development : Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific client requirements, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security.

Site Architecture and Design : Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to create the overall site architecture, ensuring a seamless user experience and responsive design across various devices.

Performance Optimization : Monitor and enhance website performance, implementing best practices for speed, scalability, and security, including caching strategies and database optimization.

Code Review and Mentorship : Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance : Identify and resolve technical issues, perform regular updates, and maintain the health of WordPress sites, ensuring they remain secure and up-to-date with the latest features and patches.

Qualifications :

Experience with WordPress : hands-on experience in developing and managing WordPress websites, including proficiency in custom theme and plugin development.

Strong Proficiency in Web Technologies : in-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, as well as familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries.

An Understanding of Web Standards and Best Practices : A solid grasp of web development best practices, including responsive design, SEO principles, and accessibility standards.

Experience with Version Control Systems : Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for collaborative development and code management.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills : Strong troubleshooting abilities and a keen analytical mindset to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, along with the capacity to optimize website performance.
