Job Summary :

The Commercial Lines Insurance Department Manager will oversee the commercial lines department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to clients and the achievement of business objectives.

This role involves leading and mentoring a team of insurance professionals, managing client relationships, and developing strategies to enhance departmental performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership and Management :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of commercial lines insurance professionals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.

Client Relationship Management :

  • Oversee client accounts and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Address and resolve client issues promptly and effectively.

Strategic Planning and Execution :

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Identify opportunities for new business development and cross-selling.

Operational Oversight :

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee policy renewals, endorsements, and claims processing.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain high service standards.

Financial Management :

  • Manage departmental budgets and financial performance.
  • Analyze financial reports and develop strategies to improve profitability.
  • Monitor and manage revenue and expense targets.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.

g., CPCU, CIC) are a plus.

  • Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Skills :
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and services.
  • Proficiency with insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
