JobDescription :
Were seeking an Application Security Engineer withexperience in Integrating security tools and processes andcollaborating with developers and operations teams.
The candidateshould have good knowledge on the security concepts and bestpractices to be followed in software development.
The idealcandidate will have extensive knowledge of how SAST DAST and SCAsecurity scans work and how those can be integrated in the CICDpipeline of the source code repositories and a good knowledge onthe Gitlab security scan and CICD.
Responsibilities of thisrole
- Maintain essentialsecurity operations like managing security tools perform securityscans for applications generate security report collaborate withdevelopers and operations teams for remediation.
- Handle queries in the support channels related toapplication security and address the queries on time.
- Work on proof of concepts for enabling new tools in theCICD pipeline and evaluate the capability of the tools.
- Guide the developers with recommended solutions to fix avulnerability identified by security scans.
- Publish documentations about the security scans andcreate awareness among the developers and owners to follow the bestpractices.
- Review the code and providerecommendations based on the best practices.
- Handle support calls to answers questions related to thesecurity scans and vulnerabilities identified by the securitytools.
- Analyze security scan failures in theGitLab and work with Gitlab Support to resolve the failures.Required skills and qualifications.
- 5 years ofexperience in software development and DevOps.
- Good knowledge on the security concepts and bestpractices to be followed in software development.
- 3 years of experience in integrating security tools forSAST DAST SCA
- 3 years of experience inJavaScript Nodejs and Python and SQL queries
- 2years of experience in AWS and Azure cloud platform.
- Experience in building CICD pipeline / actions inGitlab / GitHub
- Good communication skill andsome experience in handling the queries and responding the querieson support channels.
- Excellent interpersonalskills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality ofcompany information.
