Our client is seeking sonographers for theirhealthcare organization. This is a fulltime salaried jobopportunity.
The Main Location : Will be inBronxville NY. There is a regular work schedule however coveragewill be needed in Northern Westchester (Hudson Valley and CortlandtManor NY) to support the vacation and sick days of the stafflocated there as needed.
Client releases the working schedulemonths in advance and believes in quality work / life balance.Ideally a skilled sonographer living between these locations wouldbe a great fit!
Hours : 8 : 30 am 4 : 30 pm. No weekends or holidays.
The Pay : $37.50 $50.48

About therole :
- Localize and recognize difference betweenhealth and pathological areas
- Judgewhether images are satisfactory for diagnosticpurposes
- Integrate diagnosticsonogram with patients history medical records and laboratoryresults
- Present and preparepreliminary ultrasound findings to attending physician for finalreport
- Maintain log of ultrasoundtest findings
- Assist the physicianwith patient care
- Explain theprocedure to the patient record medical history considerednecessary and prepare patient fortesting
- Collaboratively work withbilling / secretarial staff with regards toauthorizations / charges
- Providecoverage vacation / sick day coverage at other sites asneeded
- Other miscellaneous duties asassigned
JobQualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic MedicalProgram
- Candidate must be RDMS orRDMS registry eligible. RDMS eligible graduates from CAAHEP(Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education) accreditedprogram must be registered in OB / GYN within 12 months ofemployment.
ARDMS credentials must be maintainedyearly
- OB / GYN experience for aminimum of two years
- Ability tooperate ultrasound equipment efficiently evaluate sonogram toacquire diagnostic information communicate diagnostic informationto physicians
