Job Description Summary :
The George Washington University Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) Division is Seeking a temporary Training and Support Specialist.
DAR is responsible for leading the university’s alumni and fundraising efforts and seeks to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the university community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations, patients and other friends.
Our goal is to advance GWs mission of excellence in education, research, scholarship, and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Training and Support email inbox to resolve training and support issues.
- Learn and manage Smartsheet onboarding and offboarding tools.
- Serve as a liaison with GWIT for equipment for onboarding staff positions.
- Process system access request forms and prompt AVP to create user accounts in DAR systems.
- Manage offboarding process for staff, prompting action on appropriate close-out tasks.
- Manage licenses for YesWare and other products used in DAR.
- Learn the department intranet system and post content relevant to training and support issues.
- Learn and manage department listservs as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Proficient in operating computers with basic Microsoft Office software (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook) and Google software (Gmail, Docs, Sheets).
- Able to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as a collaborative staff member to complete work with accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Able to provide excellent customer service skills in conjunction with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
