Duties / Responsibilities :
The State is seeking a dynamic and experience Sr. Project Manager to oversee the overall program and project
activities for a Statewide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modernization project. (ERP is a software system that helps businesses manage and automate their core business processes.
Five common components of ERP systems are accounting and financial management, human resources or human capital management, customer relationship management, business intelligence and supply chain management.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in service-centric application modernization and implementation, experience in Government accounting and finance processes, and excels in inspiring collaboration for success.
The Project Manager :
Manage relationship with agencies to enable the development of application modernization requirements and data strategy.
Serve as a point of contact for the program to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
Effectively plan and execute project meetings with stakeholders across multiple agencies.
Communicate with executives to keep the project aligned with organizational and program goals.
Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or other related discipline.
Current Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and current PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), CSM, or equivalent certification.
Must have Experience :
At least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in managing Service-Centric application modernization implementation projects.
At least five (5) years of hands-on experience managing process mining and process modeling tools to document the current state environment.
A proven track record of successfully implementing agile methodologies, including at least five (5) years of experience as a project manager managing major ($1M or more) projects in a high-technology development environment with cross-functional teams.
Specialized Experience :
At least eight (8) years of experience in supervision or oversight of IT-related programs or projects.
Experience with agile tools such as Jira or similar applications.
Experience in work planning, monitoring, and reporting.
Experience managing requirements processes, including conducting interviews and documenting technical requirements.
Experience managing contractors and service providers.
Experience working with and managing onsite and remote teams.
Experience with industry-standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders and all levels.
