Position Summary :

The role is suited for someone who thrives in a self-directed, autonomous work environment. This role is ideal for recent law graduates or attorneys looking to gain valuable experience in case review and immigration law, emphasizing strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Document Review : Thoroughly review and analyze privileged and confidential documents related to humanitarian visa applications.

Assess documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with immigration laws and client requirements.

  • Compliance Assurance : Ensure that all reviewed materials meet legal standards and adhere to internal client guidelines, identifying any discrepancies or issues that need addressing.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with project managers and team leads to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.

Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.

  • Confidentiality Management : Handle sensitive case information with the utmost discretion, ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols and ethical standards throughout the review process.
  • Reporting : Prepare and maintain detailed records of document review activities, including notes on compliance findings and any required follow-up actions.

Contribute to regular reporting on project status to management.

Research and Analysis : Conduct legal research as necessary to clarify compliance issues or to support document review processes.

Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policies that may impact document review procedures.

Quality Control : Participate in quality assurance efforts by reviewing the work of peers and providing constructive feedback.

Assist in developing best practices for document review to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications :

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (in good standing).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Prior document review experience is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and remote work tools is preferred.

Quantitative Proficiency : Competent in applying fundamental concepts of algebra and geometry to analyze data and support legal documentation processes, ensuring accuracy in calculations and interpretations.

Reasoning Ability :

  • Analytical Skills : Demonstrates strong reasoning skills by effectively applying common sense and critical thinking to follow detailed instructions provided in various formats, including written, oral, and visual diagrams.
  • Problem-Solving : Capable of addressing complex issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations, ensuring sound decision-making and adherence to established protocols.
