WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Electrical Engineering manager is responsible for leading a core group of electrical and RF engineers in the creation of next generation hardware for the Cordella System.
In this role you and your team will be responsible for demonstrating technical feasibility and leading the design, development, and testing of new product concepts.
This is a dynamic role requiring big picture thinking, navigating the gray areas and tradeoffs associated with new product development, project and team leadership, and the ability to interpret and assess detailed results of product testing.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Naperville, Illinois. Your responsibilities will include :
- Lead a core R&D team in electrical hardware design, provide insights into best practices, and offer expertise and team support and mentoring.
- Analyze product performance data to inform next generation product improvements.
- Direct day-to-day tasks and priorities for the core EE team.
- Provide project status updates and reports to senior management on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and ensure proper design documentation and adherence to QMS for electrical hardware design documentation and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic company goals are met.
- Collect, interpret, analyze, and present test data, results, and conclusions as needed.
- Facilitate ongoing relationships with 3rd party vendors and key suppliers.
- Team and leadership oriented with ability to sift through and manage project details while having a big-picture and future focused mindset
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 6+ years of medical device product development experience
- Experience in electrical hardware design for medical devices
- Experience with medical device risk analysis according to ISO 14971
- Experience with IEC 60601 standards testing
- Experience managing a small core group of electrical engineers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in technical writing and documentation
EDUCATION
BS in electrical engineering, or equivalent
