The Technical Support PM will be part of the Siemens Energy Operation & Maintenance Engineering Support Team, supporting our fleet of Combined Cycle plants, which we operate under long-term contracts on behalf of customers! The role entails leading and directing technical issues and possible modifications and repairs on our Combined Cycle Power Plants fleet.
In this role, you might receive unexpected calls from plants in other states or countries within the North American or Latin American region seeking assistance with maintenance issues.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Act as a resource for plant O&M management to resolve immediate operational concerns, forced outages, or similar events, using your experience in plant operations and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the various Siemens engineering groups to ensure successful resolution to designs / maintenance / operational issues identified at O&M facilities.
- Take ownership and direct technical issues to closure and successful resolution.
- Own the implementation of new software applications, including CMMS, especially Siemens BFS++
- Develop and implement a procedure for maintenance assets such that the CMMS (BFS++ and Mainsaver or Maximo) systems support business analytics access reports
- Assume ownership of the spare part strategy for new and existing O&M contracts for inclusion in the CMMS system
- Advocate and develop innovative ideas and solutions for the fleet.
What you bring
- BS / BA or equivalent experience in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of lead experience in power-plant Maintenance & Operations, particularly Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plants
- Motivated self-starter that can identify and complete tasks with minimal direction. Standout team member with a can do mind-set!
- Strong Understanding of control system schematics and architecture Operation and fault finding on specialized Siemens Energy plant equipment.
- Siemens Energy Omnivise and Control System Interfaces Testing and commissioning Power Controls especially Siemens T3000
- Experience with power plant maintenance tools, repair process, and operations using T3000 and CMMS Systems
- Experience in leading a technical team and working in a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of large electro / mechanical power-plant equipment maintenance methodologies
- Physical requirements include sitting / standing and possibility of working on feet for 12 hour periods. Requires stair and ladder climbing and on occasion entering a confined space.
Protective equipment must be worn when on-site (, hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, etc.).
- The position occasionally requires extended working hours and varied shifts with the possibility of weekend and holiday work, as required by accessibility to personnel, equipment, and plant conditions.
- Up to 20% travel including onsite presence during scheduled and forced outages, special projects, and customer meetings.
You may need to travel on short notice.
