We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to join our team here at Reflow Medical. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with extensive international experience in finance, particularly within the medical device sector.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing financial operations, driving growth initiatives, and ensuring compliance in global markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Strategy and Planning :
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
- Lead financial operations, planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
- International Financial Management :
- Manage financial operations across international markets, ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimizing financial performance.
- Oversee banking, currency risk management, hedging strategies, and foreign exchange operations.
- Coordinate with US and international finance teams to standardize financial reporting and improve efficiency.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance :
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and international accounting standards.
- Consolidated financial reporting with US parent and foreign subsidiaries.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Strategic Leadership and Decision Support :
- Collaborate with executive team members to evaluate business opportunities, investments, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and operational improvements.
- Drive initiatives to optimize capital structure, manage working capital, and enhance profitability.
- Team Development and Management :
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability within the finance department.
- Establish clear goals and performance metrics, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles within the medical device industry.
- Proven experience managing finance functions across multiple international markets.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and US GAAP financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to drive business results through financial leadership and innovation.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, and capital raising is a plus.
